The group are looking for a contribution towards running costs so that they can continue to provide support and information to people affected by asbestos.

The group wish to continue the improvements they have made to the area by clearing the overgrowth from an area that used to be part of an old railway station and uncover some of the old platform. This will then be enhanced by garden planters, railway memorabilia and heritage signage.

To design and print a leaflet highlighting ways to keep safe to hand out while the group is doing outreach work. This will be done in partnership with a local high school. To purchase promotional items to hand out during outreach e.g. personal alarms, torches and purse bells.

The group would like to continue to bring people together to meet socially and provide outings to places of interest. The funding would be used to cover the cost of days out for the group.

To build a ramp at the front of the building to allow members easier access. Currently the group use a short steep ramp at the back of the building. To purchase some equipment for Tuesday’s activity group, e.g.  chess and draughts.
