To encourage people from some of the poorest areas in West Dunbartonshire to share their stories and identify solutions to tackle poverty and help improve the quality of life in their area. To provide workshops which will provide people who normally lack confidence to take part in formal consultations and make their voices heard through photography.

To complete a programme of works to improve the drainage of the main 11 a side park and also the main 7 a side park. This would include works to limit the effects of the burn which runs beneath both of these parks.

To improve the group by purchasing a club kit, strip, bag and training jacket for every member. This will make the members feel part of a group where they feel safe and secure. Members have disabilities ranging from autism, down syndrome and brain injuries.  To have a tournament with another disability group within the area and also a study project to visit Stirling Castle.

The group would like to use the funding to complete Phase 2 of their Community Orchard project which will involve harvesting and using fruit to make jam, chutney and other produce. This will be delivered through a series of small events.

To build on the work of the Hub, that focuses on outreach work and is followed up with 1-2-1 personal support.  Also a recovery group, which provides support and life skills to overcome life controlling issues. Also to support monthly drop-in cafés for those affected by homelessness or addiction

To hold an event for parents / carers and children to hear guest speakers talk about the impact dyslexia has had on their life. The group would like the children to hear from positive role models about what can be achieved.

The group would like to purchase and plant a Christmas tree. The planting of the tree will be the focus of a community celebration, involving local schools on a related project of the symbolism of trees. Lights would also be purchased to be hung on the tree in late November 2019.

To continue the upgrading of the Rugby teams facilities, which has been ongoing for a number of years. The funding will be used to install a kitchen, so that the home team can provide hot food and hospitality to visiting clubs. This will help the group build friendships with other teams.

Bonhill and Dalmonach Community Council £5,000

To launch the Cycling Valley Project in conjunction with the proposed opening of the new Dalmonach Community Centre in March. This will involve a series of bike sessions run by qualified personnel. There will be a raffle prize at the weekly sessions for a chance to win a new or refurbished bike. The project will also offer funded courses in Ride Leadership and Bicycle Maintenance.
