Group Information (where you are based, number of members, normal group activities etc…): Our Social Group takes part in activities throughout West Dunbartonshire, with 25 autistic group members. Due to Covid-19 our group will initially take place online and then move to a blended model. Online group activities include: virtual tours of historic places, zoos, aquariums, dancing, quizzes, gaming, art, film fan sessions and sessions on mental health. When current restrictions permit our group will take part in outdoor activities.
What will you use the money for?: We will use the funding to bring lonely autistic people in West Dunbartonshire together. Initially the group will take part in activities online, these will include online art sessions in partnership with Project Ability, Lego sessions with a Lego facilitator in addition to virtual tours and sessions on mental health/well-being. When current restrictions ease the group will take part in outdoor activities with the support from staff and trained volunteers.
Who will benefit from this money?: Autistic adults and young people from West Dunbartonshire will benefit if we received this funding.
