Group Information (where you are based, number of members, normal group activities etc…): Our group was formed to promote artistic, cultural and leisure activities within the Clydebank and surrounding area with a focus on individual enhancement. It is important to us that everyone feels included and a valued member of our group. At the moment there are around 25 people in our group, we meet twice a week in Dalmuir Community Centre.
What will you use the money for?: The lockdown meant that all our activities had to stop. The money will be used to organise classes and workshops online and in person when allowed. We want to reach all of the people in the group and as many as possible in the larger community. We plan to build a website to promote our activities, showcase our artworks, create online galleries etc. and we need to create a sustainable online network using zoom or similar online platform. We will have professional artists and artists/facilitators from the group running sessions adaptable for both online platform and classes in presence again when the situation will allow it.
Who will benefit from this money?: Individuals and other community groups in the Clydebank and surrounding area will benefit from the project. In addition our online presence will allow us to be able to advertise and to reach a much wider audience for some of the events. We want to engage with members of our community with a focus to refugee/asylum seekers within the community, care leavers and people from areas of high deprivation.
