Group Information (where you are based, number of members, normal group activities etc…) :We are a local based primary school based in clydebank area. There is approx. 240 children attending the school in a daily basis. We have a working PTA group within the school and hold monthly meetings to see what we can do to help with the smooth running of the school and also try to help raise funds for the childrens activities and any outings that they may have within the year,The children have a active forrest school and also a poly tunnel that the children can grow fruits flowers and vegetables within the school, We work closely with centre 81 and members from that group come down to the school grounds and help create activity with the children and their familes also taken part in this so will give enjoyment learning at the same time.
What will you use the money for?: If we were able to secure funding we would like to buy outdoor clothes and footwear also waterproofs for the children to take part in our local forest school learning activities. Having these resources would increase the time and frequency the children would be able to spend outdoors particularly in the wet and colder weather. This would also give the children a bit of increased independence and responsibility to be looking after equipment.
Who will benefit from this money?: The children and the school will benefit from having this equipment. Also some childrens parents might not have any spare money that might be needed to buy equipment and this would cause less stress for famlies trying to find other money and meaning families that are struggling would not miss out and everyone can take part as a group learning together and playing together.
