Group Information (where you are based, number of members, normal group activities etc…): Normally we serve the communities of West Dunbartonshire with a number of digital clubs and classes. Also free IT advice and low cost repairs. We have supported more than 200 people. Since March 2020 we've adapted to online support.  Facebook: we put up a variety of posts every day to both inform and entertain, we reach on average 200+ people every day. Befriending: we've supported more than ..... people via telephone calls, texting, emails, Face time, Whereby and Zoom.  IT advice and repairs: in real time when possible and otherwise via telephone, email and Zoom.  Connecting Scotland: as part of the Scottish Government programme, we provided 12 brand new devices to residents in West Dunbartonshire, set them up where required and deliver bespoke digital support and training. Supporting other organisations: we supported other charities to become part of the Connecting Scotland initiative. We supported Macmillan to set up online fundraising events at Christmas time.  Online clubs: we started up several online clubs, which we hope to bring face to face soon.  Face Shields/Visors: Joe, our amazing volunteer began producing from home. Then we rented premises from WDC.

What will you use the money for?: HIGH QUALITY REUSABLE FACE SHIELDS/VISORS: Early in the Coronavirus pandemic, we realised that many people were uncomfortable wearing a mask. Joe Burns volunteered to produce face shields, turning his home into a sanitised workshop. Our shields were tested and passed by GGC NHS lab and the staff commended the quality of materials and the high standard of workmanship. There has been significant demand for the shields - when organisations are trying to get back to work and individuals are looking to get out and about.  We now rent a space from West Dunbartonshire Council which we converted into a workshop. The Big Lottery Community Fund and Lomond Regeneration fund production costs.

WE NEED THE MONEY FOR THE RENTAL COSTS OF THE WORKSHOP We've supplied almost 1,000 shields to date and expect a rise in demand as lockdown restrictions are lifted.

Who will benefit from this money?: To date we've provided almost 1,000 shields and feedback has been wonderful.
