Group Information (where you are based, number of members, normal group activities etc…): We are 3 sisters from Faifley we started Made with Love JMJ in 2016 making packed lunches for various groups during the summer holidays as there was no provision for this and we were concerned about child poverty.  We now run 2 cafes 3 days a week with a Pantry in St Joseph's and St Stephen's Halls during the summer holidays, they are free and open to everyone.  We work in close partnership with all Head Teachers in the G81 area at Christmas and provide Christmas Dinner Hampers.  The Hampers contain a full Christmas Dinner with all the trimmings and treats, enough food for a family of 5 for a few days. They are packed and wrapped and fresh and frozen food are bagged. The families uplift them or they are delivered during the last few days of term by the schools.  Due to Covid 19 restrictions we were unable to do any of our projects during 2020. We helped and advised other local groups during lockdown and have been providing support to families through schools since September with shop vouchers.  At Christmas we were able to provide a £25 Co-op voucher and a £10 Aldi voucher to over 450 families within Clydebank.  We are continuing to support families in need with vouchers.

What will you use the money for?: We will be buying shop vouchers so that we can keep continuing to support families in need within the Clydebank area. The families will be identified through the school network as we work closely with the Head Teachers.  The vouchers can be used to top up electricity and buy food. We usually buy Co-op vouchers which allow people to shop locally and they are able to top up their electricity. We also purchase Aldi vouchers that can be used for any food items as well as middle aisle offers.  We have helped Edinbarnet and St Joseph's Schools set up a Pantry within their schools. We are supporting them with food donations every week. They have become very successful with families using them daily. We are providing them with fresh items of eggs, butter, bread, milk, fruit, veg and any other items that they need. We rely on Grants and donations to help local families. This Grant would mean that we could continue supporting families throughout Clydebank. Families are struggling with food, fuel and clothing poverty and we are doing our best to help when and where we can for as long as we can.  We have been supporting families since 2016 and every year the need is getting greater.

Who will benefit from this money?: Families who need help with food, fuel and clothing poverty within Clydebank will benefit from this Grant.  We will contact all schools within the Clydebank G81 area and the Head Teachers will identify the number of families who would benefit from a bit of financial help. Everything is done in an anonymous way and we buy the vouchers , drop them in to the schools who will distribute to their families. We will use the money to buy shop vouchers to allow people to choose what they want to purchase whether that be food, clothing or to top up on fuel. We are giving people a choice of how and what to spend their voucher on. We have been supporting families with vouchers through the schools since September 2020 and also have been providing snacks to some schools so that they have some snacks available to children who come to school without a snack. There are no tuck shops due to Covid restrictions so that has been helpful in some schools to alleviate hunger. Families in Faifley will be able to use the new Pantries within Edinbarnet and St Joseph's schools which we have helped to set up. We will buy fresh items of fruit, vegetables, milk, bread, eggs etc as and when they need it.
